OUR PROCESS
We use a proven three-step process for all home organization or paper management projects, large or small:
Initial Conversation
We will have a brief conversation over the phone for you to introduce the project and goals you have in mind, and for me to talk a little more about my process and possible next steps. This is the opportunity for us to build mutual understanding of the project and comfort with one another.
Outcome: You will have the information to decide whether you want to take the next step of scheduling a home visit.
Home Visit and Road Map
I will visit your homein order to thoroughly assess the scope of the project. The length of this visit will vary: a minimum of 30 minutes for small projects up to 3 hours for an entire house.
Outcome: I will produce a detailed Road Map customized for your specific project and clearly outlining YOUR particular goals and desired outcomes. This document presents an action plan outlining all the steps from sorting to storing to staying organized. The Road Map will provide suggested resources and vendors (consignment shops, disposal options, shredding vendors, storage solutions stores, etc.) as well as a recommended shopping list, when relevant (shelving systems, filing systems, storage bins, etc.). This organization plan has all the information necessary for you to tackle your project on your own. Or you can move ahead and engage our help implementing the plan we have outlined.
We will produce the Road Map so that for large projects, you have flexibility in choosing the project components you want us to carry out. Perhaps you only need our help in the initial sorting and simplifying processes, or maybe you want to focus initially on certain spaces or specific paperwork categories. The Road Map will contain an itemized budget and implementation projections for discrete steps or spaces, so that you can define the scope of our engagement around what you need.
Fee: $75 to $300 depending on the length of the home visit. This involves the production of the Road Map, and an itemized budget for our hands-on implementation services.
Hands-On Implementation
We will work together to accomplish the plan of action you have chosen and documented in a services agreement. Sessions will run from 2 to 4 hours. Some projects will only require one session, and others will need multiple sessions. The length, number and timing of sessions will depend on the task at hand, scheduling and the overall project plan. We will work together to coordinate all aspects of the implementation plan.
Outcome: As mentioned before: YOU choose the specific outcome you want from our work together! Your goals and urgencies will be documented in the home visit, and drive the information provided in the Road Map. Your journey with Organizing Cape Cod will end in whatever decluttered, calm and peaceful destination you choose.
